Bryan paid just £1,500 for Kerry's engagement ring. Tradition says a man should spend a month's wages. Sunday People said in its article, "Maybe Bryan is worried he won't make as much money solo after talking about leaving Westlife."

"Westlife on Tour" by Eddie Rowley is the 3rd best selling rock and pop book in the UK. The top selling book is by Tommy Lee while the 2nd best selling book by Bjork. Westlife on Tour is listed at £14.99.

Westlife isn't the only major act releasing a song the week of November 5. Top acts Destiny's Child and Atomic Kitten are slated to release songs as well. Needless to say, Westlife will be in for some competition.

Once again, this year, Westlife are supporting the charity "Concern" and are hoping to raise more than £1million. If you would like to help, and have a chance of winning some WL goodies too, email at info@concern.ie. (from the Concern website - Last year, over 56,000 people participated in the Concern Fast 2000, raising over £1million in the process. The fast was endorsed and supported by a number of celebrities, including: Westlife and Samantha Mumba. There's also a picture of Westlife's support of this cause at letsrumble.org)

Starting in October, Westlife will be reportedly change their website address to www.westlife.com and it is supposedly going to be a lot posher than the original www.westlife.co.uk site. For those of you who know about domain names: The WHOIS server still shows that Westlife do not own that domain name yet. Only time will tell. And it probably won't be cheap to buy westlife.com, which has been owned by someone in the US since 1997 (before Westlife's existence).

Finally, Bryan has taken the WHOLE of September off, to be at home with Kerry and baby Molly. He will return to Westlife at the end of the month to start promoting their new single with the rest of the band.

Shane is sexiest

The results are in for Smash Hit's Planet Pop 100 sexiest. As voted for by the online community (and apparently, there were more than a million votes cast), Shane came in at #1 as the sexiest pop star. Kian came it at #5, Mark at #13, Nicky at #18 and Bryan at #22. A Smash Hits special magazine will be on sale soon featuring the sexiest 100.

Several websites were hacked this morning and altered to deliver a message related to the terrorist attacks in the US. Among the sites hacked were the official Westlife site (westlife.co.uk) and Click2music.co.uk. Some of the affected pages displayed a picture of a pink bunny at a keyboard, but all contained a long, vitriolic attack by ‘Fluffi Bunni’ on “those who justify murder in the name of their religion.” The 530-word message then goes on to declare that we “should get rid of religion”, and is signed “Philo Bunny”.

As of right now, the site is no longer in hacked condition, but then again, the entire site hasn't worked for me or many other fans in over a year.

Bryan getting ready to go solo

Bryan has told the magazine L and K that he is already getting ready for a solo career. He said, "Westlife is not my future. I'm going to have a solo career. I've started planning."

Westlife's new single

"Queen of Hearts" will be the debut single from the new cd. The song will be released on November 5 as a double A-side release. When You're Looking Like That will be the other single on the cd. The new album will be released on November 12...less than 2 months from now =) The band have worked with their usual producers Steve Mack and Wayne Hector.

Westlife was mobbed in Mexico

Westlife was mobbed by a crowd of of 3,000 excitedfans in Mexico when they arrived at the airport there. Nicky said, "It was fine until we tried to make our way out of the terminal and they all rushed at us. We stood our ground and there were about a dozen security guys looking after us, but our security chief Paul decided it was too dodgy and wanted to go back. He was going to take us out one at a time because it would be easier to take care of each of us. But the police insisted we go out together. The chaos that followed was like something out of a war movie. It was a big melee with people being pushed and shoved." Nicky was upset when he saw an old lady getting knocked over as they made their way to their car.

Bryan at Lillies Bordello

In celebration of Molly's birth, Bryan partied at Lillies Bordello on Saturday night until the wee early morning hours. Along with Moby, who played the piano at the club's private members room, Bryan sang traditional Irish songs including My Irish Molly, and Molly Malone with broadcaster Eamon Dunphy and the Irish footballer Robbie Keane. After much persuading the crowd got Moby to sing his hit Porcelain, afterward the pint sized star refused to do anymore encores.

The Eurovison winner Paul Harrington, Lillies resident piano player, then took his seat as Roy Keane sang football songs later to be joined by his fellow team mate Niall Quinn. In true Keane style the outspoken Irish captain informed the VIP crowd that the Dublin socialite environment wasn't really his thing referring to them as "a bunch of posers".

Later on Roy Keane, Niall, Eamon, and Bryan all embraced for a finale of "The Fields of Athenry" to the delight of the crowd who by now where up on tables shouting "Keane-ohh, Keane-ohh" and singing "The Mighty Quinn".

More on Molly

[thanks to Sharon for the heads up on the news] Bryan had a few words to say about finally becoming a father. Moments after leaving the hospital with Kerry and Molly, he said, "It's one of the greatest feelings I've ever had in my life. I've always wanted to have children but didn't think I'd be a father so soon. You only realise what it's all about when the baby finally arrives. All I was worried about was that the baby would be healthy, whichever sex it would be. Now I am just so proud that Molly is not only a healthy baby but also very, very beautiful. I could not be happier. Myself and Kerry feel so lucky. I broke down and cried when Molly finally arrived and I held her little body in my arms. She has Kerry's blonde hair and she's already shown she has a great pair of lungs. I'm taking a few weeks off to help now. I don't want to do anything other than be around Kerry and Molly."

As for the labor, Bryan said, "Poor Kerry. Labour seemed to go on forever. She was great but I was a bundle of nerves."

As for the details on how they left the hospital: a minder backed up Bryan's luxury Toyota Jeep up to the front door and Bryan came out a few minutes later carrying Molly who was wrapped in white blankets. Kerry was right behind them wearing a baggy navy jumper. Her hair was under a white baseball camp. When they arrived in their Delgany, County Wicklow house, Kerry's mom, Sue, was their waiting to greet them. Bryan unloaded flowers and gifts from the car, while Sue carried Molly inside.

More from the (unofficial) biography "Westlife on Tour"

[thanks to Agnes for the article] Back on August 30, we told you about some rather interesting "tidbits" about Bryan and the Queen from the unofficial book "Westlife on Tour." Well, the book has a lot more about of these tidbits which we detail below. The book is due in stores on September 6.

According to the book, the boys couldn't dance and were out of shape before the tour started. Whenever they couldn''t get to grips with new routines, the boys become angry and frustrated with themselves. The book claims, “Hand-held mics are chucked across the floor. Baseball caps go flying round the room.

The book even has a quote from Priscilla Samuels, the group's choreographer for their £2 million tour. She supposedly says, "They are not a bunch of extremely fit boys. They don't take any physical exercise other than what they do performing."

Other revelations: Their tour manager revealS that he keeps duplicate keys to
their hotel rooms as the lads were terrible at getting up. On one occasion, he had to go into band member Shane's room and literally pull him out of bed by the
ankles. The reaction of the band to the news that Bryan's fiancée Kerry Katona was pregnant is also documented.

Posh Spice dislikes Westlife

Today's quote of the day from Posh Spice on Westlife: "You're asking me personally if I think they're boring - yes, they are. Maybe they can't dance and haven't got any rhythm because everything they do is slow."

Thanks to Charlotte who e-mailed in this bit of info: "I have heard that Molly's full name is: Molly Elizabeth Natasha McFadden. Elizabeth and Natsha are the names of two of the girls in Atomic Kitten (Liz and Tash!) "

And for the details of Molly's birth:

Molly was born just after 7pm on August 31 in Dublin's Mount Carmel Hospital. Bryan drove Kerry there at 1am that same morning after her water broke at home in Delgany Co, Wickow. Yes, that means that Kerry was in labor for 19 hours before the baby arrived...quite a long time. Molly came in at 8lb 2 oz.

Bryan was by Kerry's side when she finally gave birth in the 4th floor delivery room. Molly was born a week early, as she had not been expected until September 6. For most of the afternoon, Bryan zipped in and out of the hospital for a quick cigarette. He was dressed in dark denim jeans and a light blue to and was accompanied by a pal. Members of both his and Kerry's family arrived later to offer their support. Byran did leave the hospital at 6pm to buy three extra pizzas for everyone. After Molly's birth, Bryan told News of the World, "I can't believe I'm a dad. I'm having a few beers to wet the baby's head."

Early this morning on TV in England, it is reported that Kerry has just given birth to Molly at Dublins Carmel Hospital. Bryans mum Maired said that mum, baby and dad are all doing well. Congrats to all of them!

Bryan and the Queen

[this is a rumor] According to the biography "Westlife on Tour" and as reported by the Daily Star, Bryan told Queen Elizabeth II that she looked like "a Quality Street wrapper" when he met her at the Royal Variety Performance in November of last year. The Queen was rumored to have retorted, "And you look like you've enjoyed a few sweets yourself, lard boy," The remarks embarrassed all around, but not the two involved. Bryan is also supposed to have asked Prince Charles when the band could "come and see his gaffe" and have told the other Westlife members that the Queen "looks like she's been in 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.'"

Aides to both camps said that far from rubbing each other up the wrong way, the two were sending sparks of sexually generated tension towards each other and "openly flirting in a bloody rude way".

Bryan is said to be smitten by Her Royal Highness. "He carries this wee snowstorm of Buckingham Palace with him everywhere he goes," a Westlife insider might suggest, "He just sits and shakes it and stares at it and smiles all the bloody time. And then she'll send text-messages - 'I luv u', 'ur my cudly corgi'; his phone never stops bloody bleepin'. Prince Philip has turned a blind eye, I've heard, because The Queen has been in these sort of relationships before. It got really messy with Howard Donald from Take That."

Westlife Decline Movie Offers

It is reported that Westlife are being bombarded with offers to star in several top movies, but are too busy to even consider them...just look at their recent Mexico/Brazil promotional tour...that is just hectic. The group just isn't interested in film careers at the moment, despite the tempting offers.

Kian said, "We are always being asked to appear in films. Between the lot of us we have had about 50 offers. But we just don't have the time. Samantha Mumba had a great time acting in L.A., but it took about eight months out of her schedule. We couldn't go away for that long, especially in the middle of recording and promoting our new album."

Nicky And Kerry Co-host TV Show

Nicky is getting together with Kerry to make their TV presenting debut. They will be co-hosting the Childline charity concert in Dublin's Point Theatre next January. Westlife will be performing on the live TV show (as they did last year), and are expected to be named as the headline act. Other acts being tipped to perform include S Club 7, O-Town, newcomers Bellefire and Samantha Mumba's little brother Omero.

A worker on the show says, "We thought about teaming Kerry up with her partner Bryan, but Nicky is actually far more interested in doing TV work. It's ideal timing for Kerry because she'll have had time to recover from the birth of her baby and get back in shape."
